I lately came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first remark. I don?t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Respectable blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.

In short, here's how the feature will work:

From the beta administrator perspective:
1. Enable the guestbook by requiring that testers provide one piece of contact information when joining -- whether email, name, etc. The guestbook must be enabled in order to require that testers complete a survey.
1. Create a survey and fill it with questions.
2. On the primary settings page for your beta there will be a drop-down menu listing all your surveys. You can select one of the surveys and require that testers complete it prior to joining your beta.

From the tester perspective:
1. Visit Beta X's landing page. Click the Join link.
2. Fill out the guestbook to join the beta.
3. If a survey is required, the tester will be automatically redirected to the survey.
4. Once the tester completes the survey he/she will have access to the beta. They will not be asked to take the survey again.

Good to see the many improvements that are coming.

Is there anyway to see how the "require a survey to join" feature will work?

Thanks,
Tom J.
