www.designonclick.com is always an option. They're also a newer site based out of Germany. While they aren't quite as big as crowdspring or 99designs, they still have a large design community from around the world and are able to offer good customer support. Definitely worth a look!

Though I would've loved it much more if you added a relevant video or at least pictures to back up the explanation, I still thought that your write-up quite helpful. It's usually hard to make a complicated matter seem very easy. I enjoy your weblog and will sign up to your feed so I will not miss anything. Fantastic content

You are crazy to use crowdspring. bunch of crooks. they will load up a bunch of crappy designs from designers obviously on their payroll at the last moment so they don't have to refund your money. poor attitude and no ethics.

I came across the blog as I'm currently looking for a new logo for a project. I have previously used 99designs and have been very happy with them. I was thinking about trying Crowdspring for my next project to see if the quality compares... Great post

Crowdspring and 99designs have certainly set the bar high... but Designtourney.com believe's that there is still room to go. Now that several other players have entered or are entering the market we will see a quick consolidation to those sites that are able to bring in a steady stream of clients and at the same time provide maximum value to their community of designers.

Designtourney.com is now accepting designer registrations, has a growing pool of projects ready for launch, and will go fully live in a matter of weeks.

A large marketing and design team will vault us quickly into the top tier of this market so join now and be a part of the ride.

Best wishes,

Terry

Hi guys!

Fantastic to hear that you enjoyed your first experience with 99designs!

You're absolutely right, we're a young company having launched just over a year ago and we're very proud of our achievements so far, with over 21,000 contests having now been held. As they say, choice is everything and it seems both our customers and community of 33,306 designers overwhelmingly agree!

I just wanted to thank you for your kind words of encouragement and thought you might also be interested to hear that we have now implemented pre-paid contests to give designers more confidence that they'll get paid. Furthermore, we also stand behind our pre-paid contests with a 100% money-back guarantee - if our customers aren't happy, neither are we!

Don't hesitate to drop me a line if you have any further feedback and we would definitely be all-ears if you ever get time to conduct a follow-up review.

Thanks again,

Jason

Hi, If you ever would like to post up a new contest in the future you can check out a new site called Denook. We have a growing community of 300+ and just opened about 1 month ago.

http://www.denook.com

You can run design contests, music contests, sell designs, and sell music.

Thanks,
Denook Team

Hola from currently sunny Chicago, Illinois!
Hope everything is well in "beautifully weird Austin, Texas," as you put it.

I just wanted to reach out and say thank you for posting a project on our site. We are very proud of crowdSPRING and the fact that in just a little over 4 months of existence, we've garnered over 5,000+ creatives in our community!

Regarding the speed issues with our site, we recently upgraded our servers. We are already architecting a more robust server architecture and making additional changes and plans to continue to improve performance and keep pace with our growth. We learned a great deal this past week and made a bunch of mistakes we'll never make again in trying to fix the problems.

We hope that you will use crowdSPRING again to find solutions to your design needs!

All the best,
Angeline
